According to legend, the norse god Odin bound himself to the world tree, Yggdrasil, and hung there for 9 days and nights. Wounded in the heart by his own spear, he willingly sacrificed himself in order to gain full understanding of the wisdom and powers behind the runic letters. These are the runes you see on this ring, full of magic and hidden wisdom. The runes are also repeated on the inside of the band.
The ring itself is crafted from stainless steel, with an antiqued bronze finish. It is just over 1/4" wide, and looks equally at home on men's and women's hands.
But what do the runes mean? Each rune represents a phonetic sounds, as well as an idea or thing. So the rune used for the sound "f", for instance, is also used to mean "wealth", and the rune that makes the "s" sound is also the sign for the Sun. The runes on this ring do not spell out a word. They are simply all of the Elder Futhark runes in sequence.
