That design looks familiar. Not surprising. Snake rings, in one form or another have been around for centuries. They were particularly popular in ancient Egypt and Rome, and possibly even further back than that. You'll be carrying on a grand tradition!
How sturdy is this ring? It isn't particularly fragile, but if you work with your hands, you might want to remove it before you begin. This ring has one of the thinner bands we carry, and that, combined with the snake's slightly raised head, means that it could catch and pull out of shape if you aren't careful.
