This wedding blessing offers the plainly spoken, yet provocative, caring insight of life together. Wise in the ways of life, love and heritage, this blessing will certainly be admired by newlyweds. The text reads "Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter for the other. Now you will feel no cold for each of you will be warmth for the other. Now there is no more loneliness. Now you are two persons but there is only one life before you. May your days together be good and long upon the earth." This design measures 196 stitches wide by 183 stitches high. This is a pattern for counted cross stitch. It is not a complete kit. You must provide your own fabric and floss.
How much fabric do I need?
To calculate the amount of fabric you will need for your project, divide the number of stitches by the stitch count of the fabric you wish to use. The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.
Fabric count | Approximate size of stitched area |
---|
14-count | 14" × 13" |
18-count | 11" × 10 1/4" |
25-count | 7 3/4" × 7 1/4" |
