This is such a delicate and lovely ring, with an open-work triskele design that harkens back to the artwork of an earlier age. The graceful, flowing lines of the triple-armed spiral were a favorite among the ancient Celts. Some things never go out of style, it seems.

What is the difference between a triskele and a triquetra?
Triskel, triskele, or triskelion all have essentially the same meaning- the triple armed spiral design that is one of the oldest motifs found in art. Triquetras are a bit different. Although they also demonstrate the idea of a unified group of three, they use a three-part knot to express the idea, rather than a three-armed spiral. Triquetras are not nearly as old a design as triskeles are.

What is the history of the triskele symbol?
The triskele, or triskelion, is such a strikingly elegant design, and one that has certainly withstood the test of time. Designs similar to the one found in our Silver Celtic Triskele Ring can also be seen carved into the stones of Neolithic structures. The stones at Newgrange are Ireland is one notable example, but even older examples have been found in Egyptian artifacts.

The Celtic Triskele Ring is made of sterling silver.

The central medallion measures approximately 3/8" in diameter.

It is available in sizes 4-10, whole sizes only.
