Perfect for a couple who is just starting out on their fairy tale, headed for a lifetime of happily-ever-afters. The text of this gorgeous wedding blessing reads: "Just as a mighty keep is built stone by stone, So may your life together take shape day by day. May it forever provide SHELTER to weather the storms of life, SPACE in which to entertain both friends and dreams, SANCTUARY in which to nurture each other's souls. May your marriage vows be the cornerstone on which this keep is built."

This wedding cross stitch design measures 96 stitches wide by 193 stitches high. It is printed in a multi-page leaflet, with a color picture of the completed design on the cover. The chart is graphed in black and white symbols. A table showing the DMC colors you'll need is included. The pattern itself is printed on a single folded sheet, so there is no need to match page edges. This fantasy cross stitch design was created by Jennifer L. Aikman-Smith, of Dragon Dreams.

How much fabric do I need?
To calculate the amount of fabric you will need for your project, divide the number of stitches by the stitch count of the fabric you wish to use. The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.

Fabric count Approximate size
of stitched area
14-count 6 ¾" × 13 ¾"
18-count 5 ¼" × 10 ¾"
25-count 3 ¾" × 7 ¾"

Beautiful pattern, nice, tough paper - my only complaint is the pattern is printed on a semi-dark shade of paper - it would be much easier to read on white paper - or at least a light-colored paper. It also calls for a few types of non-standard, non-DMC threads - and doesn't give equivalents, so I'm going to have to fake my way through that part. (Some of the flowers on the border are done in "CARON Waterlilies Overdyed Silk" of a few different colors.)
