The crescent moon is carved from bone which has been tea-dyed for a mellow, antiqued look. Sterling silver vines curl across the face of the moon, and a patch of mushrooms is nestled at its base. Delightfully witchy, and just the thing for adding a touch of whimsy to your aesthetic.
What kind of bone is used in this pendant?
The crescent moon in this piece is carved from bone from domestic cattle. In Bali, they use the entirety of the cow. Nothing is wasted and cows are most certainly not killed for the sake of jewelry!
Why are mushrooms thought to be magical?
Beyond their use in spiritual and religious practices, mushrooms have strong ties to the realms of fairies and elves. Have you ever come across a "fairy ring" of mushrooms in the grass? They seems to spring up overnight and disappear almost as quickly. Folklore says that these are portals to another world full of magic and enchantment.

Our standard shipping is US Priority Mail with tracking, which is a flat fee of $7.00. Priority Mail typically takes 2-3 business days for delivery.

Any item purchased from us may be returned for a refund or exchange, provided you return it within 30 days in its original condition. Important! When you return an item, please pack it in a box or padded envelope. Postal equipment frequently tears small items right out of regular envelopes, and we cannot be responsible for items that do not reach us safely.
