The phrase "Blessed Be" resonates especially strongly with pagans and wiccans, and this association is reinforced by the triple moons which appear below the words. This bit of witchy stitching is a wonderful reminder that, in good times and in bad, the blessings in our lives mean more than anything.
This pagan/wiccan cross stitch pattern is as easy as it gets - a single color of floss, and no backstitching. Because the design is so straightforward, this is a wonderful opportunity to get creative with a hand-dyed fabric, but that choice is left up the stitcher. The design measures 102 stitches wide by 67 stitches high. It is printed on a single sheet of cardstock. The front has a color photo of the finished design. The back has a large easy to read graph in black and white symbols with stitch count and DMC symbol and color information.
How much fabric do I need?
To calculate the amount of fabric you will need for your project, divide the number of stitches by the stitch count of the fabric you wish to use. The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.
Fabric count | Approximate size of stitched area |
---|---|
14-count | 4 ¾" × 7 ¼" |
18-count | 3 ¾" × 5 ¾" |
25-count | 2 ¾" × 4" |
