Tips for Choosing the Correct Ring Size

Have you seen a puzzle ring before? They aren't very common, but oh, are they fun! This intriguing design is actually made up of four linked rings. If you wear it on your finger (or leave it safely tied together), the individual bands stay put. But slide it off your finger, and disaster can strike! Once it has been removed, the bands can separate, and then you'll have the real challenge of re-assembling it in the correct order. It's not as easy as it looks!

Puzzle rings enjoy a long history. Legend has it that the first puzzle ring was given to a woman by a jealous husband in order to ensure her fidelity. Later, in Renaissance Europe, these rings sometimes known as "memory rings". They could be worn with one band loose to serve as a reminder of something that needed to be done, sort of like tying a string around one's finger. These rings are shipped assembled. If you choose to take it apart, be prepared to spend some time solving the puzzle, because we do not include instructions.

This four-band puzzle ring measures 3/8" wide, and is made of sterling silver. It is available in sizes 5-10, whole sizes only.

NOTE: We cannot accept returns or exchanges on this ring if it is not in its original, assembled condition. We do not make this ring and have no instructions for it.

Is it really difficult to put back together once it has come apart?
The short answer is: Yes. Yes, it is. And the longer answer? Well, like any skill, it gets easier with practice. Once you've done it several times, you'll get the hang of it, and be able to impress your friends and win bar bets :-)

Can I remove the string tied around the base?
That string is there to keep the bands from separating. If you remove it, unless you handle the ring very carefully, it will come apart, and you'll be faced with the challenge of fitting it back together.

I had this ring and lost it at work. Mine didn't come with instructions - but I found lots of YouTube videos that helped me figure it out. I adore this ring and got so many compliments on it - and I want another one!
