Lost in the music, this splendid satyr uses his pan pipes to greet the dawning day, with only the trees and wild creatures as an audience. Tonight, perhaps, there will be wild bacchanalia, with wine and frenzied dancing, but for the moment at least, the woods are still and peace reigns. Close your eyes and listen closely. Can you hear the tunes he plays?
This design measures 170 stitches wide by 200 stitches high, and is based on original artwork by Amy K. Brown. The cross stitch pattern spans 11 pages, and is printed single-sided, on unbound sheets in a clear plastic bag for protection. There is a color picture of the completed chart on the front page. The pattern itself is graphed in black and white symbols, and a table showing the DMC colors you'll need is included. This pattern can be stitched on any color background you choose, of course, but we recommend using a hand-dyed fabric in woodland or sunrise colors, for an extra touch of artistry.

The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.
