This one is for the rangers and druids in the party- a deep forest green that will let you blend in with the shadows of the trees. This cloak is made from denim-weight fabric. It is tough and durable and will hold up for plenty of adventuring. It is a full circle cloak, so there is plenty of room within its folds for armor, knapsacks, or small forest creatures in need of your protection.

If this cloak has a flaw, it is that the material wrinkles. Not a problem if you are walking a lonely trail, and sleeping under the stars, but perhaps an embarrassment if you are called into Court to face the King and Queen. The best way to reduce the number of wrinkles is to take the cloak out of the dryer while it is still slightly damp, and let it finish drying on a hanger.

This cloak also has an attached hood. It's nice and deep, to add an air of mystery to your outfit.

This cloak measures 47" from the back of the neck to the bottom hem. The neck opening is 26" around. Be aware that this cloak is longer than most. If you are on the petite-side, be sure to measure carefully to ensure that this cloak won't drag the ground as you walk. This cloak is shown on a 6-foot-tall mannequin.

This is a full circle cloak. That means it has a lot of fabric in it. Yards and yards and yards of fabric, in fact. This is the type of cloak that makes otherwise staid and sober adults want to twirl around until they can no longer stand up straight.

We know how hard it is to get a feel for a fabric, just from a description on a website, so we'd like to offer an alternative: Order a sample, and we'll mail you a 5" square of the fabric that was used to make this cloak. This way, you can see the details for yourself- the exact color, weight, texture, etc.

Just keep in mind that most of the cloaks we make are one-of-a-kind pieces. All sales are first-come, first-served. If you have your heart set on a particular piece, it might be best to go ahead and make your purchase immediately, knowing that you can return the cloak if it is not exactly what you are looking for.

What makes your cloaks so special?
Before any sewing occurs, the fabric is washed in hot water and dried on high heat. The same happens with any trims that will be used. I typically do not know the fabric content of the materials I work with, and doing this ensures that there will be no unpleasant surprises, like shrinking or fading, down the road when you wash your cloak.

The finishing touches are what it's all about! All seams are flat felled or French seamed, all hems are double rolled and double stitched, and all corners are mitered. Yes, it's a pain, and yes it takes longer to make it that way, but it means that you will not have any raw edges on your cloak that will ravel.

In short, I take a great deal of pride in each cloak I make, because I want it to be something you will wear and enjoy for years to come. These are not cheap costume pieces, meant to wear once and throw away. They are carefully crafted garments which will stand up to years of wear and tear.

Does this item come from a smoke-free, pet-free home?
Smoke-free? Most definitely. Pet-free? Absolutely not. Every cloak is washed once it is completed and ready to be shipped. But if you have super severe allergies, please keep in mind that my cats do like to "help" me as I sew.

Beautiful cloak, well made and sturdy, just perfect! I am 5'11" and the cloak falls on my calves at the perfect length.

Excellent. I bought a half-circle a couple years ago and wanted more. I had no hesitation with the higher price tag because I already knew the quality would be solid.
