Viking longships are a thing of the past, but there will always be those who feel the pull of the open sea, and the need to know what lies beyond the next wave. Without a doubt, these dragon-prowed ships are the quintessential symbol of the Vikings' spirit of exploration and adventure, and that, you can be sure, will never go out of style.
The Bronze Viking Ship Pendant measures 1" in diameter. This design is double-sided, so it can be enjoyed from front and the back. The pendant is made of bronze, and hangs from a 33" long black cord.
Why did Viking ships have dragons on them? The fierce dragon's head on the prow of the ship was meant to strike fear into the enemy's heart. In addition, the dragon heads were though to provide supernatural protection for the ship and its crew, warding off any evil spirits that might find them.
Is the cord adjustable? The cord comes untied, so you can choose the length that works best for you. Simply trim off the excess cord once you have tied it.
