Bloodstone deflects attacks by mean spirited and petty people. Keep a piece of this gem with you whenever you feel insecure or threatened. It wards off bullies, and gives you courage when a confrontation is inevitable. Remember, this is a stone that warriors once carried. It will aid you well, in whatever battle you are fighting.
Bloodstone is also good for use in matters of justice. Be sure to carry it with you if you will be spending time in a courtroom.
When you need to bring all your resources to bear on a particular problem, Bloodstone can aid in concentration and decision making. It can help to reveal thoughts that have been lurking at the back of your mind, so you can examine them in the full light of day. Intuition, mental clarity, and creativity are all said to benefit from the presence of Bloodstone.
As might be expected, Bloodstone is said to improve physical health. It is supposed to be particularly suitable for blood and circulation disorders.
Because of the deep mossy green of the stone, punctuated by the brilliant red spots, bloodstone is symbol of the deep interconnectivity between the plant and animal worlds.
Bloodstone is a birthstone for the month of March.
You are purchasing a set of three tumbled Bloodstone gemstones. Stones will vary in size and shape, but most are in the range of 1/2" to 1". How should I use my gemstones?
Keep them close by, in your pocket, or in a small dish at your work space. Handle them often, as you focus on your needs and wishes. Sleep with them under your pillow. Place them on your altar. Whisper your wishes to them when no one else can hear you. The only thing we do NOT recommend doing is using your gemstones to infuse water that you will be drinking.
How can I cleanse my gemstones?
Over time, gemstones can pick up negative energies as they are used. Many different methods can be employed to cleanse your stones. Bury them in a small container of salt for a few days. Hold them in running water (this is not recommended for soft gemstones like selenite or jet). Let them sit overnight in the light from a full moon. Place them where a fresh breeze can pass over them. What other methods can you think of?
