Bridhid Cross Stitch Pattern - Brighid was one of the most beloved of the Celtic Goddesses, and was widely worshipped as the goddess of motherhood, fertility, animal husbandry, warmth, light, and the home. Here, the goddess invokes her sacred flame between outstretched hands as a white calf stands by her side, serene in her protection. Wearing a flowing green dress, bound at the waist in traditional Celtic style, and adorned with blackberries-a symbol long associated with the Goddess-Brighid stands peaceful in the deep green forest that flourishes around the nourishment of her light.
