Tips for Choosing the Correct Ring Size

Next to the pentacle, the triple moon motif is possibly the most recognizable pagan symbol to be found. The crescents framing the full moon evoke the three aspects of the Goddess. The waxing crescent represents the Maiden- a woman in her youth, whose life is ruled by new beginnings, unharnessed energy, and the joy of discovery. The full moon is the symbol of the Mother- a time in a woman's life when she can celebrate the fruition of her early efforts. This is a phase of stability and fulfillment. The waning crescent represent the Crone, full of patience and wisdom, and the ability to lead and teach others. As a whole, the Triple Moon symbol captures the essence of feminine energy and power.

Additionally, the triple moon motif brings to mind the deep connections that pagans feel to the rhythms and cycles of the natural world. The pull of the tides, the change in the seasons, the shift from day to night and back again- All this and more are suggested by this simple yet profound design.

The Silver Triple Moon Ring measures approximately 5/16" wide. It is made of sterling silver, and is available in sizes 6-10, whole sizes only.

Does the design go all the way around the ring?
It does not. The triple moon design repeats 5 times, wrapping around most of the ring. There is a small area of unadorned silver on the underside of the ring. This is a technique you often see with band rings, to allow different sizes to be made with the same original artwork. Again, this gap in the pattern should only be visible if you are looking at the palm-side of the ring.

What makes parts of the design so dark?
When silver reacts with oxygen, it darkens. Jewelers take advantage of that fact to add contrast and detail to their designs. By intentionally oxidizing the ring, and then polishing the raised areas to bring out the beautiful gleam of the sterling silver, you get a strong contrast between the light and dark areas, making the pattern easier to see.

I would have given this ring 5 stars but I thought the moons went all the way around the back of the ring. I think you should show a picture of the back. Other than that I love it and I can't wait to get my pendant next and for the dragon pendants to go on sale!!!!! ;)
