When the candles burn and the cauldron bubbles, it's time to ask yourself one important question-does the shoe fit? If so, you're in for a stitchin' good time with our "If the Shoe Fits" cross stitch pattern! Crafted by the talented Marcia Manning from licensed artwork by Sanquentti Design, this pattern is a fun nod to a witch's most iconic accessory.
This pattern is quick and easy to stitch up, measuring only 98 stitches wide by 100 stitches high, and is all full cross stitches, with no backstitching.
The single-page leaflet includes a large, easy-to-read color chart, printed in color. There is a list of suggested DMC floss colors, but with only 3 colors used in this project, it's super simple to adapt it to your personal color preferences if you wish to customize the pattern.
How much fabric do I need?
To calculate the amount of fabric you will need for your project, divide the number of stitches by the stitch count of the fabric you wish to use. The higher the count of your fabric, the smaller your piece will be. Some examples appear below. Remember to leave several additional inches as a border on each side, to facilitate framing your project when it is finished.
Fabric count | Approximate size of stitched area |
---|---|
14-count | 7" × 7 ¼" |
18-count | 5 ½" × 5 ½" |
25-count | 3" × 4" |
